What is Heart Rate Variability Training?
What is Heart Rate Variability?
Heart Rate Variability is a natural rhythm of the heart. Your heart beat fluctuates with its timing; with the more random or variability it has, the more anxious a person will be. This can lead to other issues in personality and interactions. How you breathe is an integral part of helping to stabilize your HRV.
Is Breathing Technique Important?
Breathing is extremely important for living, but how you breathe is almost equally important. When you get stressed, you breathe faster and more erratically. When you’re relaxed, you breathe more slowly and at a certain pace.
When you are able to control the way you breathe, your heart rate will also calm down and function in a regular pattern.
Is Training the Two Together Important?
Heart Rate Variability Training is the action of pairing these two features together. As you learn to control your breathing in an appropriate way, you will learn how to recognize and work with your heart rate to calm not only your body, but also your mind. This will allow greater flexibility in decision making and reactions.
